Today our fun outing was to Grapevine Mills Mall to ride the Merry Go Round. Julia is an old pro at riding the horses. Valerie loved it. She cried when we had to get off.

We tried out our new double stroller. Julia loved riding in the back.
We also had to ride the ice cream truck.

Bueberry Patch

Julia and I went to Bailey's Berry Patch today with her "Everybody." Anytime we get together with the Zimmerer's she is so excited and calls them her "Everybody." We had so much fun. It is located on the other side of Gainsville. It is a big farm with blueberries and blackberries. Brianna is here from California and went with us. Julia and I were newbies. Everyone else had been before and were very serious about their berry picking. They gave us a pail and we picked blueberries. We only picked enough to make blueberry muffins this week. My sister is more of a homemaker than me and is going to make blueberry jam.
We had so much fun. She keep telling me to only pick the blue ones not the red ones. It was a great experience for Julia but I think I will just keep going to Costco for my large container of blueberries. However, I would not trade this time with Julia for anything.

Beautiful Cousins

It is great fun having Brianna visiting us this week from California.
Lauren, Kristin, Angela, and Brianna are all cousins. Julia is in the middle. We met in Roanoke for dinner. Julia and Kristin are playing hide and seek in the forest after dinner.

Twice the Fun

Julia, Valerie and Grandma had a very fun but busy week together.

This week I got to take Julia to her first ballet and tap dance class. She was so excited and had so much fun. We practiced putting the shoes on "all by myself" several times before going. Mommy fixed her hair in bun like a real ballerina and we read a book about being a ballerina before we left.
Valerie spent the week trying everything her cousin Julia did. She has the sweetest face.

Julia rode her bike a lot. We had races. She would ride her bike and I would pull Valerie in the wagon.
We bought a jump rope and working on how to jump rope. She is quite coordinated and will probably get the hang of it soon.
Valerie loves playing with the little people school bus. If we ever can not find her she is usually behind the couch playing with the little people.
We enjoyed lots of wagon rides.
We went to Library Storytime. Julia ran into two of her friends from school. They were very excited to see each other.
Reading at the library.

We did a lot of swimming this week.
We had friends from school over one day.

We swam with each other one day.
Then Jillian came swimming with us one day.
On Thursday we went to Preschool Open Gym at the Grapevine Rec Center. It was awesome. Julia played with friends from school. The best part was playing under the parachute.

We introduced Valerie to bubbles. She was not quite sure what to think about those things but she finally got into it and put the bubble wand in her mouth.

Julia and Valerie read books together.

Julia painted.

Julia practiced cutting with a ball of my knitting yarn. Its okay, as you can tell I never have time to knit.

We had a great week. I am going to get some rest this weekend so we can play together all next week.

Week with Valerie

Julia went to Florida with her parents for vacation so Valerie and I had the whole week alone while her Mom takes Graduate School Classes.

We had a great week together. On Monday we went to the zoo.
We went swimming a lot.

We went bike riding. If I slow down or stop she starts moving her body for me to go. She also lays her head up against my back as we ride as if to say "Thank you this is so much fun."

She loves the outdoors. So we swung, a lot.

We ate, a lot. She will not let me feed her. She wants to do it herself.

We made Cranberry muffins.

She got into the cabinets and spilled sprinkles all over the floor. She did not understand why I gasped. She thought it was yummy!

We read books.

We had a great week. I can't wait for Julia to get back and we will have twice the fun.
