The Girls have been Winterized!!!

We are ready for winter

Babysitter Julia

I told Julia to watch Valerie while I cleaned up the mess in the kitchen from baking cookies. (Pawpaw and Aunt Renee were close by). She talked Pawpaw into getting her fold up lawn chair out of the garage. When I walked back in she was sitting in this chair watching and cooing at Valerie. It was too funny! I started laughing so hard. She said "Julia Funny!"

Grandma and Julia's Day of Fun

Days off from school are even more special now because I get Julia all day while her parents work. Today was Fair Day. Julia and I made our own fair. First we went shopping. Then we went to Safari Park in Southlake. We slide down the big slide into the ball pit, rode the train and jumped. We had a great time.
She loved the trampoline. She is a very intense jumper.
After our Nap we made pumpkin cookies.
Then Baby Valerie came over and we played some more. Soon baby Valerie will be old enough to go on all our adventures together.

The Corn

Julia had been watching the corn grow at Hall's Pumpkin Farm since August. Everytime we would pass she would say "the corn, the corn." She would tell me that her "everybody" was going to take her to the corn. Then she would name everybody in the family. Well the day finally came and we went to "The Corn." She loved it. It has been raining nonstop and we have tried for two weekends to go to the corn. The weather was not that great but we could not put it off anymore, so off to the corn we went. Here are some pictures of Julia's "Everybody" at the corn.
All the cousins, Angela, Kristin, Lauren, Renee, Julia and Valerie.

Our Rock Star!!!

Seriously, is this not the cutest little Rock Star you ever saw. Check out the bedazzled guitars on her onesie. Thanks Christi for such a cute gift. Renee had band practice and Chris had Saturday In-service, so we got Valerie. We were so happy to get rid of those parents and spoil Valerie. She played under her play gym and rolled over, bounced in her bouncy chair and sleep. Then when Renee came to pick her up, we went to run and errand so Grandpa got to babysit all by himself. Now he has a big head and thinks I am going to let him do it more often since she did not cry and he got her to take a nap. What is he thinking?

You Gotta Love Friday

Every Friday I get to pick Julia up from school. It has become Grandma and Julia's afternoon of fun. Today we went to the bookstore to buy a Halloween book.
She picked Clifford's Halloween for herself and Where's Baby's Pumpkin for Baby Valerie.
Then we went for ice cream. She loved it. She ate every bite and then picked up the bowl and drank what was left. We had such a great afternoon together.
