Yea! First Day of School

Julia is back to school at ECDC. On her second day of school she told her Mom "I no can like school". By the third day all she was talking about is Sofia and Isabella. She learned about the letter A, the number 1 and the color yellow this week. When I asked her about her little craft projects she said "Its my gluing". I picked her up from school today and we went to the park. I was being silly and chasing her. She stopped, pointed her finger at me and said "no running, use your walking feet." She may not have mastered the color yellow but she knows to use her walking feet.

Love this Wagon

Julia and I take alot of wagon rides. Our wagon is of the Cadillac make. Pre Valerie we would go all over the neighborhood looking for every cat I could find for her. This week we had to limit our rides to the alley because we took Valerie with us. Since we have the Cadillac of wagons Julia's side makes a seat and Valerie's side goes down. It was perfect. Julia did not like that our rides were limited. She kept saying "Go Grandma Go". She wanted me to go take Valerie inside and then come back out for our ride.

Grandma Daycare

Both girls were at Grandma Daycare this week. I MADE IT. It was a fun but very busy week. Julia loved having baby Valerie with us all week. Every time Valerie was asleep she focused on when Valerie would be awake and anytime Valerie was awake her focus was on when would baby Valerie be going night night. School starts on Monday and I am going to miss them both very much.

"Grandma I need a microphone" said Julia.

Julia was watching June on Little Einstein. June was singing with a microphone. She jumped up and said, "Grandma I need a microphone." I tried to tell her I did not have a microphone. She would not let it go. She just keeps pleading for me to give her a microphone. When I walked away she said, "I know" and went to the fireplace and picked up a candle snuffer and started to use it like a microphone. (picture on the left) So I had to go out to Target and get her a microphone. (picture on the right) She sings with her microphone and even takes a bow.

Bad for Her Good for Me

Renee's maternity leave is over. She started summer band. Bad for her. I got Valerie for the week. Good for me. We bonded. She smiled, cooed, found her hands, sleep and was just the best baby. The best part about baby Valerie right now is that she snuggles into your shoulder and falls fast asleep. The not so good part is that she mostly wakes up the minute you put her down. So that is why I just "had" to hold her all week. She comes back here for one more week before she starts going to Mrs. Vicki's house. I am going to have Valerie and Julia next week. Pray for me. I know it will be fun but pray anyway.
