Train Ride

We took Julia and Valerie to Forrest Park Train today. Here we are waiting for the train. Super cute cousins!! They loved the train ride. Valerie would not sit on me. She had to have her own seat.Forrest Park Train is located right next to the Fort Worth Zoo. It takes you on a 40 minute ride through Forrest Park in Fort Worth. Both girls really enjoyed it. It was really nice to be outside on a kinda cool end of summer morning.
Here is David and his two granddaughters.

First Football Game

We took Valerie to her first Football Game this season. She did not like that her Mom was on the field and she could not get to her. She loved halftime. Once the music started she was moving to the beat.
We have to support Birdville HS with Valerie wearing their colors.

Bathtime

It was time for Valerie to take a bath. I was getting the bath water ready and she was playing in the room. I turned the water off and went back into the room to get her. I turned around, (literally it was that long) and she climbed into the bathtub with all her clothes on. She started playing with her bath toys like it was life as usual. I think she was pointing at me to get out and leave her alone.

Breakfast Picnic

We love going to the park but have not been able to go lately because it has just been to hot. So today when I picked up the girls, we grabbed some breakfast and went to the park at 7:30am for a Breakfast Picnic. Julia always tells me she wants to go for a picnic and she loves the park so this was perfect for her.
Valerie swung and ate donut holes.

They had races on the slide.

I am going to miss these fun summer days when we go back to school.
Seriously, Valerie was all over this park. I could not keep up with her. When did she get to be such a toddler. Actually, she is 15 months old today.
One final ride in the wagon around the park before we have to leave.

Valerie First

We took Valerie to Safari Park today. It was her first time. She loved it all. She especially liked the little mini trampoline they have. She would giggle and giggle when the other kids bounced her around.
She screamed when we got off the train. She did not want it to end.

Homemade Play Dough

Julia and I made homemade play dough. I got to tell you homemade play dough is way cool. It is super smooth and easy to shape. Plus you get really great pink hands when you knead the dough. Julia called me Pinkagrandma.

1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup salt, 1 T oil, 1 T cream of tartar and 1/2 cup boiling water.

I had neon food coloring so we got to make really cool pink and purple.

Cousin Lily came over and played with us but I forgot to take a picture. We sent her home with play dough.

Waterworm

Since it has been so hot our pool is like the bathtub so we brought out the waterworm to cool off.
Valerie is hilarious. She will go right up to it and let the water hit her in the face. Julia uses the back into it technique.

Playing in the plastic pool has also become cooler than the big pool. They love the water.
