Scrumptious!!!!!

Today was Cupcake Day! We went to a little cupcake tea room on Main Street in Grapevine. She was so excited. She got to pick out her cupcake. She picked vanilla icing with sprinkles. Who doesn't love sprinkles? She was so excited. She said "It's yummy!" Today was our last summer day alone together. Starting Monday baby Valerie joins our fun days.

Six Flags Summer Night

We took Julia to Six Flags for a couple of hours. She was so excited when she walked in and saw the entrance area with the fountain and the Merry-Go-Round which we promptly rode. She enjoyed the train ride and a few things in the kids section. We stayed for the electric light parade. I think she mostly just enjoyed the people and activity all around her. Oh yea and the ice cream.

Gaylord Staycation

We spent the weekend at the Gaylord with the family. It was very fun. We relaxed by the pool all day, ate to much and enjoyed our girls and their families. Julia loved the joining hotel rooms and balcony while Valerie just sleep the weekend away.

Happy Valerie!!!

Valerie (2 1/2 months) thought the family staycation was great! She loved all the attention when she was awake. She sleep most of the time.

Take my Picture

Julia sat upon this fountain ledge and said "take my picture" then she straightened out her skirt. As usual with a two year old it is always on their time. She had just given us a hard time about taking her picture a few minutes earlier.

Park Week

Julia and I went to two parks last week. We went to Chisholm Park. Good for us we had the whole park to ourselves, Bad for us we had the whole park to ourselves because it was extremely hot. We had a great time. Then we saw the error of our ways and later in the week went to an indoor park. It is called Safari Park (http://www.indorsafaripark.com/) located in Southlake. It was very very cool x 2. Cool activities and Cool temperature. While we were at Safari Park we ran into one of Julia's classmates, Sofia. They were very excited to see each other. It was very cute.

All By Myself

We spent the week swimming every day. We tried all kinds of flotation devices; tubes, vest and floaties and she had a death grip to whoever was swimming with her. Then on Friday she said "I swim all by myself" and she did. She was so proud of herself. Now we will need to tackle going underwater.

Swimming with Lily

Cousin Lily came to swim with Julia. Julia woke up from her nap and was very excited to find Lily waiting to go swimming with her. The girls had a great time swimming and playing in Julia's Playroom at Grandma's house. I loved getting to see the girls together. They are so sweet to each other. With only 7 months between them, they will be great friends. Julia cried when Lily had to leave.

Happy Fourth of July!

We had a great family Fourth of July. Julia and I decorated her wagon and had our own private parade. We went swimming and then out to the lake for dinner and fireworks. Julia loved fireworks. She called them "sparkies". Valerie just hung out. When you are as cute as Valerie that is all you have to do.

Sparkies at the Lake

We went to the lake for dinner and Fireworks with the family. It was great fun!
