Pretend Camping

Julia wanted to go camping so we took her for a family get together out at her great-grandparents, my parents. Her "everybody" was there and we had a fabulous time.It was a cool, sunny day. Below is Julia, Angela, Valerie and Renee.
Everyone always has fun riding the golf cart. Julia is getting to where she wants to drive. So she sat on Lauren's lap and drove.

Julia wanted everyone to help her make rock castles.
We roasted hot dogs over the open fire. The silly lady with the flower in her hair is my sister, Elizabeth.

We had a great campfire. Julia wanted us to tell ghost stories so we took turns telling her stories. She loved it. PawPaw was the best gitchie goomie story teller.

Baby Valerie is not a baby anymore. She enjoyed being outdoors and getting dirty.

Thanksgiving Day 2010

We started the day out in Fort Worth to watch Renee run in the Turkey Trot. It was cold but very fun getting to see Renee.
Here is the family who came to Thanksgiving Dinner. It is a bi-year ... Angela and Elizabeth's families are with their in laws.

After Valerie had a nap we decided to go to the Gaylord to see ICE. This is what Valerie said when she saw the Gaylord. It was really beautiful.

All bundled up waiting to go into ICE
Renee and Chris had to race down the ice slides.
It was really beautiful. Valerie loved looking at all the sculptures.

She is so bundled up she can hardly walk.

But everything was great when she got a gingerbread boy.

Children's Museum

David and I took Julia to the Fort Worth Museum Science and History. Her favorite part is the Dino Dig. She loves digging for dinosaur bones.
The entrance to the Children's section is this alligator. She loves to roar.

She and her paw paw measure the dinosaur foot.

She was very intense in making her helicopter as she called it.

Then she watched it fly in the air tunnel.

I am very impressed with how much she learns from our trips to the museum. She loves it and we have an awesome day together.

Safari Park Fun

David and I took Julia and Valerie to Safari Park today. Julia loves to play putt putt. Valerie carried the ball and putter around and looked cute of course.
They love riding the train.

Julia rode the zebra.

But Valerie's favorite part is jumping on the trampoline.

Julia built a house.

We had so much fun.

This Little Piggy

My niece Lauren is in FFA at Byran Nelson High School. She just got a baby pig. I took Julia out to the Ag Barn to see the baby pig. The "baby" pig is as big as Julia. She loved it. She fed him, brushed him and even stepped in his ______. We had a great time.

Slumber Party at Grandma Lorrie's House

I had both girls over to spend the night tonight. Julia called it a slumber party. They had lots of fun playing together. Hide and Seek is always the favorite. After Valerie went to bed, Julia, Grandpa and I played Candyland. They have matching Abby Cadabby slippers.
