Trip to the Fort Worth Children's Museum

Angela and I took the girls to the Fort Worth Children's Museum today. Julia loves seeing the full size dinosaur. Here they are sitting in a dinosaur foot. This was Valerie's first time to go to the museum. She loved it. She was intrigued with everything.
Dr. Julia took care of all the babies.
I could not get Valerie away from this window. She was watching bugs.
Julia always has to put on the outfit to match the task she is experiencing. Here she is as a construction worker.
Valerie was mesmerized in the light room.

This is in the tinker toy room. Valerie spent forever building with these little blocks.
This is by far Julia's favorite thing to do at the museum. She builds a paper thing out of plates and cups and watches it fly in a wind tunnel.

Christmas 2010

David and I Santa Hopped on Christmas morning this year. We were at Julia's by 6:15 and she was awake by 6:45. We watched Julia open all her presents. Angela fixed a super breakfast. Then we were on our way to Valerie's house. We arrived at Valerie's around 8:30. She had sleep until around 8:00 so she was still unwrapping her presents. We played with her for awhile, ate a second breakfast, then headed home.
Then everyone came to our house late morning and we had the whole Family together for Christmas.

We had 17 people for dinner and family fun.

Holiday in the Park

We went to Six Flags Holiday in the Park with "My Everybody". This is what Julia calls my sisters family. David is out of town so just Julia and I went with them. It was a blast. It was a good holiday memory. She had fun riding all the rides with my nephews son, Moote.
She was very excited to ride the snow hill. She and Lauren came down together.

She was not afraid of any of the rides. She wanted to ride them all.
The Mini Mine Train was definitely one of her favorites. She got off begging to go again.

I do not know what this ride is called but she got a big kick out of it.

The cast is all children and the play is very interactive. Julia was very intrigued by the experience. The cast was very funny and she really enjoyed the villain.
They invited the audience to participate the the march of the toy soldiers. She had a great time.

Gaylord Christmas

Julia and I went to the Gaylord this morning to see all the Christmas decorations. It was so beautiful. There are lights and special Christmas decorations everywhere you turn.
The first thing Julia spotted was Santa's Sleigh.
All over the building are these topiary reindeer's dressed up in different ways. This one was a ballerina reindeer.
Then we went to see the Gingerbread House. Julia was very impressed at how unique it was.

She loved sitting and watching the waterfalls.

Making of a Gingerbread House

After seeing the Gingerbread house at the Gaylord Hotel this morning, we made our own mini-gingerbread house. Julia enjoyed making her own gingerbread house. She did really great. She iced the house and then decorated with different candies.
She was so proud of her masterpiece.

Julia's first Dance Recital

Julia had her first Dance Recital tonight. She totally loved the spotlight. She was not scared and loved being on stage. She told her parents that the flowers were just what she wanted. She danced Ballet to Deck The Halls.

The tap number was to Downtown Christmas.
Valerie squealed when she realized it was Julia on stage. She clapped and clapped.
