Cousin's Swim

Cousin Lily, Cooper and Carter came over to swim with us today.  They had a great time playing together.

Baby Andrew managed to be awake for a picture.

He is such an easy baby that we have to remember that he is there when we are playing.

Trip to Granny's House

Today we went out to Granny's House.  Luckily Kristin and Carter were there so the girls got to ride the golf cart.  Valerie, our little dare devil, loves being the driver.

Baby Andrew was with us but he was inside sleeping.

Rainbow Cake

Julia and I made a rainbow cake today.  I have been wanting to do this with her for a long time.  Today is Cousin Brianna's birthday so we gave it a go.

We made a plain white cake.

 Mixed in 6 colors.  

Our orange and yellow looked alike and our purple looked brown.

But the final product looked great.

Julia had a great time serving it at the party.

Movies

Julia, Andrew and I went to Hawkins Summer Movies today to see Puss in Boots.  It was Andrew's first time to go with us.  We miss Valerie but we know she is having a great time.

New Splash Pad

Julia and I went to the Parr Park Splash Pad today.  Angela went back to work today so it is our first day to have Andrew.  Andrew slept the whole time while Julia had a blast.  Valerie is in Nashville with her Dad visiting her Nana and Pops.

Trip to the Beach

We decided to take a quick trip to the beach while Valerie was in Nashville.  We took Julia with us.  This girl takes after her Mom and PawPaw.  She loves the beach.

We stayed at Casa del Mar.  She loved standing on the balcony and looking at the beach.

David got to eat at his favorite restaurant, Gaidos.

 We enjoyed an evening walk on the Jetty.

The first day on the beach it threatened rain but it did not stop us.  We had a great time.

Galveston has a new boardwalk amusement park.  It was great entertainment.

Day 2 on the beach it was beautiful and Julia tried surfing.  

She loved it.

Her all time favorite is sandcastle making.

However, if you ask her the favorite part of the trip she says 

the up-down beds.

Library Time

We try to go the library every week.  We participated in their summer reading program.  Today the girls finished their reading log and received their certificates.

Three Cousins

Kristin and Carter came to swim with us today.

 We had a picnic.

 Three fish who did not want to get out of the pool.

Beauty and the Beast

Today we went to see Beauty and the Beast at Artie's Playhouse.  

It was an awesome production.

Snow Cones!!

 We took the girls for snow cones in Hurst.

Valerie was not a fan of her Strawberry Shortcake Snow Cone.  She just liked hanging out.

Andrew slept through the big outing.

Burgers Lake

We went with the Zimmerers to Burgers Lake today.

WE LOVE BURGERS LAKE.

If you have never been, you need to give it a try.

This year Julia jumped off the low diving boards, 

went down the low and high slides.  

Valerie just enjoyed swimming and building sandcastles. 

Cousin Carter came with us. 

I did a a terrible job of getting pictures.
