Nash Farm

Julia and I went to Nash Farm today. It is a restored farm in Grapevine made to reflect the life and times of settlers to Grapevine, The Nash Family. Inside the restored farmhouse we played with pioneer children's toys, looked at an old wood burning stove, learned about milking cows and had story time. We went for a wagon ride that was very fun. We also fed the chickens and played in the barn. She watered the vegetables in the kitchen garden.
She drove the tractor.

She played in the dirt getting the field ready for planting.

We listened to The Little Red Hen at story time.

Burgers Lake

Julia and I went with Granny, Brianna, Etan, Elizabeth, Kristin, Lauren and Rick to Burger's Lake. Burgers Lake is a spring fed lake located in Fort Worth. It has all kinds of water fun that we try to go to at least once a summer. Julia had fun playing on the sandy beach.

Brianna and Ethan were visiting from California. They requested the trip to Burgers Lake while they were here.

California Cousins

Two of my brothers children, Brianna and Ethan, came to visit us from California. We had a swim party at my house today. Here are all the cousins. Relaxing Paw Paws. Swim up dessert time.

Family Vacation at the Beach

We went with the family to Panama City Florida to the beach. We stayed at a Condo called Splash. We had a beautiful view from the balcony.

Yes, we were the dorky family who wore matching "Family Vacation" shirts on our excursion day. We went on a boat ride to Shell Island. We collected lots of sea shells and we even saw dolphins swimming.

We spent every day at the beach.

Julia's favorite thing was building sandcastles.

Valerie's favorite thing to do was The Lazy River running through the Condo Lobby.We ate out at some great seafood restaurants every night. Julia liked it when Aunt Renee told her it was vacation so she could have cookies for breakfast.

One night when David was trying to decide which way to turn Julia told him to just follow the palms trees.

Gym Time

We go to preschool gym at the Grapevine Rec Center on Thursday. The girls are taking a break here.

Cousin Lily

Cousin Lily came swimming with us today. Julia had so much fun having Lily over.

Making Cinnamon Toast

When Julia gets to Camp Grandma each morning, the first thing she wants to do is make Cinnamon Toast. She makes one for her and one for me. She is becoming quite the cook.
