Love that Elmo

Julia gets a big kick out of Elmo. So when Angela and Jeff asked me to watch her so they could go to a Sunday School party, I used this opportunity to take her to Sesame Street Live. We had so much fun. She used her binoculars to see the stage even though we were sitting 10th row center. She danced in the isle and did the hula dance. But the very, very best fun was seeing Elmo. She ran up to him and looked him like she was seeing a long lost friend. As I was getting her in the car at the end of the evening she said, "We can go again tomorrow, Grandma, Please!"

Aunt Renee's Show

Julia could not wait to go see Aunt Renee's girls, as she called them in a Colorguard Show. She brought her flag and clapped and clapped as the girls performed. Aunt Renee's girls did very well. They got 3rd in their class. Yea!

Let's Build a Snowman Grandma, Please!

How could I not bundle up and go out and build a snowman when she says, please. I know it is small but hey, I am the grandma and she is only 2 1/2. The funny part is that we were at Uncle Chris' house and we told him we needed something to use for a noise and eyes and he brought us out a celery stalk and pork rinds. Uncle Chris is so funny! We made a game out of the drive home and searched for snowmen. We saw one really odd looking snowman and she said "that snowman scary."
She had so much fun playing in the snow. She never stopped smiling until I made her come in.

Cowgirl for the day!

Hee Ha! We took Julia to the Fort Worth Stock Show today. She loved looking at all the animals. She petted many of the animals and even rode a pony for the first time. We had such a great time. Valerie did not get to go because she has been sick. So we made her an honorary cowgirl when we got home.

Day at the Museum

Julia and I brought her Mom and her PawPaw to the museum with us yesterday. We didn't really want to but we had a hard time getting rid of them. She loved it. You see George goes to the museum so she wanted to be just like Curious George. She loved seeing the big dinosaur. "Roar Grandma"
Her Mom was handy to have around when it came around to digging in the sand.
She was a little nervous with the dinosaur looking over her shoulder but she thought it was funny. We will definitly go again soon. There was so much to see.

I Love Date Night

Who knew that my girls date nights would be my favorite. I got to keep both grandbabies while the girls had date nights with their husbands. Don't know where they went, don't care, I had the most fun with Julia and Valerie. Valerie is now 8 months old and is so much fun. I have a big basket of toys that she loves searching through for just the right toy. Of course, everything goes straight for her mouth. It was fun watching them play together.

Julia got out the Baby Einstein Puppet and made him talk for Valerie. Julia likes to play games that are way to active. We had to play hide and seek, trick or treating, night night and walking the baby. I snuck in a game of colors and shapes. We ended the evening watching Snow White. She knows exactly when the witch is coming and she hides under the covers. So cute!!!!!
