Every Friday I get to pick Julia up from school. It has become Grandma and Julia's afternoon of fun. Today we went to the bookstore to buy a Halloween book. She picked Clifford's Halloween for herself and Where's Baby's Pumpkin for Baby Valerie.
Then we went for ice cream. She loved it. She ate every bite and then picked up the bowl and drank what was left. We had such a great afternoon together.
Julia loves to play outside. Actually what two year old doesn't. But I mean she really loves it. She had outgrown her swing and preschool slide in her backyard. Jeff is our own personal Tim the "Tool Man Taylor."So he and his dad made a plan to build her a swing set. Well it started raining and raining and raining. So being the great Dad he is, they built it in the rain.
Julia was very excited to get to play on it and keep going to the backdoor and saying, "My daddy made it for me. It raining." It finally stopped raining but it was to wet and to muddy. But don't worry super grandma solved that problem and brought over rain boots.
Is she not precious?
She loves her new swing set. It has swings, steering wheel, gymnastics rings and a slide.
She says "This my gymnastics" and she can actually reach and hang with her feet off the ground.
So on Friday (my one day to pick her up from daycare) instead of going to the feed the ducks, or the park we went to Julia's backyard. We played, swang, and slide. It was the best. Thank you Daddy for making her the best swing set ever. I just love this sweet girl.
Our family Friday Night Football watching has once again switched. We are now Birdville High School Hawk Fans. Renee is teaching colorguard at Birdville High School and working with the Birdville Band. So the whole family went to a night of football and half time show at Birdville High School.
Julia had been many times to watch Renee and the band perform but never at a night time football game. She was in aaawwww! She was so excited to hear the music, see all the people and those boys keep dropping the ball. “Oh No! He drop it”, she said. This was also Valerie’s first football game. She was sporting her “Little Hawk” attire. Valerie loves being outside so she was good while Mom's band performed.
We are finally in the school routine so I finally got to go pick up Julia today and take her to do something fun. We went to the park to feed the ducks, which she loves. She would throw them bread and giggle and giggle then take a bite herself. David asked me if I brought her a snack. I said I did not have to she had bread. Chuckle Chuckle!!!!
Julia is a sophomore at GHS. She enjoys being a percussionist in the band. She is also on the yearbook staff.
