American Girl

Julia and I went to the American Girl shop today.We looked at all the dolls. We really liked the Bitty Baby.
We ate lunch at the Bistro. She got to pick out a baby to eat with her.

She got a smoothie that was as big as her.

We had so much fun. I think I see a Bitty Baby in our future.

Safari Park Again

I took the girls to Safari Park today. Julia loves the biotic animals. Valerie loves sliding into the ball pit and playing golf.

Butterfly Fun

Julia and I are watching the butterfly life cycle.

We watched the caterpillars eat and grow. They made their chrysalis and we put them in a butterfly garden.Then finally we released them.

Girls Spend the Night

Julia and Valerie spent the night tonight. We had a picnic.We went swimming. This is Julia who has now decided she can swim like a fish.
This is Valerie. She took water baby swimming lessons during the school year and she swims all over the pool with no help. It is amazing.

We went to the park. Julia learned how to go down the fireman's pole. She was so proud of herself.

Valerie loves to climb and jump so this was great fun for her.

Jump Zone

Today we went to Jump Zone. The girls had a blast. They love to jump on the bed and the furniture so this was a nice change for their jumping to be legal. Julia loved going down the high slide. Valerie loved climbing up the to the top of the high slide then not sliding down and grandma had to go up to get her.So we found her a small slide.

Future Rock Star

Grandpa bought Julia a guitar. She is so excited. She keeps playing and making up all kinds of songs.

Keeping Cool

Trying to keep cool today we went to Willow Bend Mall to play on their children's indoor play area. It was a great indoor play area.The girls had a great time climbing, sliding, jumping and balancing.

The highlight of the mall for the girls was going up in a glass elevator, so we went up and down and up and down again.

So if you are looking for a fun thing to do on a hot summer day find a glass elevator.

Julia always loves eating lunch in the car. We call it having a car picnic.

AGAIN ... something cool to do!

Little Mermaid

Today we went to see The Little Mermaid at Artisian Playhouse. Julia and Valerie enjoyed it very much.

The girls enjoyed meeting Arial.

Krispy Kreme Fun

David and I took the girls to Krispy Kreme this morning. They loved watching the donuts being made. Valerie walked in and said "WHOA".Krispy Kreme Donuts makes everyone happy.

Painting Pottery

Julia and I went to Sonshine Glaze today. She painted a cupcake plate. We had such a great time. Can't wait to pick it up next Friday.

Whales at Omni

Today Julia and I went to the Omni Theater to see Oceans Show. Julia loved the theater in the round and watching the show from all angels. The show was mostly about dolphins with a few sharks sprinkled in. She loved the dolphins but not the shark.
Her favorite thing at the museum is the dinosaurs.

Cinderella at Arties

Julia and I went to see Cinderella at Artisan Theater. This theater has become our most favorite place to go. It is performance totally by all children. The scripts are so funny.
Today Julia got a wand and a crown. The performances are very interactive. When they were trying to find who the glass slipper belonged to, they came up to Julia and tried it on her. She was so excited.
