Hansel and Gretel at Artisian

Julia and I went to the Artisan Theater today to see Hansel and Gretel. At the end of each performance, they invite the audience to come up and dance with them. Understandably, it is Julia's favorite part.

As the story goes there is a Wicked Witch in Hansel and Gretel. She was very afraid of her during the performance but then it was the first character she went up to for an autograph after the performance.

I went today and read to Valerie's Class. She has five sweet little toddlers in her class. They loved the flap books.

Our suspicions were confirmed ... Valerie is the quiet child who sits in the back and takes it all in, even when her grandma is there reading.

Easter Egg Hunt at ECDC

All the girls enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunt at ECDC today. We had practice hunts at home so Valerie got into the event today.

Happy Birthday Jeff

We celebrated Jeff's Birthday this year with the Jeff, Angela, Julia and Jeff's parents, Jenna and Gilbert at Babe's. We had a great time. Isn't that such a pretty cake?

Grapevine Easter Egg Hunt

We celebrated Renee's Birthday at Main Event. I know sounds dorky.

But it was a fun, relaxing time.

Brer Rabbit at Casa

Julia, Valerie and I went to Casa Playhouse and saw Brer Rabbit today. We have season tickets and we started our journey today and forgot our tickets at home. But we regrouped and thanks to Aunt Angela we made it to the show on time. Angela and I have been reading Julia Brer Rabbit stories so she understood Brer Rabbit was a trickstar. So while she understood what was going on in the show, she was disappointed that Brer Rabbit was a real person instead of a real rabbit. Valerie loved the music in the show. She would stand up and dance every time there was a song being sung.
