Fort Worth Stock Show

David and I took Valerie and Julia to see the animals at the Fort Worth Stock Show this morning. Can you tell we had a hard time getting them to look at the camera? I think the sun was in their eyes. It was a beautiful day.

We love our Cadillac stroller.

Birdville Winterguard Day

I am lucky because I got to keep Valerie all day today while Renee's girls had their first Winterguard Show for this season. She has two guards this year at Birdville. Here is the Green Guard. The placed first in their class and got bumped to classes.

Valerie was so happy to see mommy. Of course, she has her own flag.


We went home and took a nap then came back to see the Gold Guard. They placed fourth in their class which is the highest class.


Julia came with us. She loves seeing Aunt Renee's girls dance.

Fort Worth Rodeo

Valerie (20 months) and Julia (3 1/2) ready to go to the Fort Worth Rodeo. Cowgirl Julia loves to ride the ponies.

We have not been to the rodeo for many, many years. The whole family was going but then Jeff and David ended up having to work so it ended up being Chris and all the girls.

Valerie did not like wearing her cowgirl hat. We had great seats. The girls loved watching all the activities. We particularly liked the opening ceremony.

Puss 'n Boots

Today I took the girls to our new favorite theater, Arties Playhouse in Bedford. We saw the Fairy Tale, Puss 'n Boots.

Julia loved it. Valerie was very shy. We had a great time.

The Park in the Winter

Today after school Valerie and I went to the park. It was a beautiful day, very sunny but very cold. Valerie loved it. She ran all around the park going from slide, to swing to anything she could climb. She would not get in the bucket swings. She only wanted the big girl swing. So cute.

Rose Bowl Parade

We went to Los Angeles this past week. The Birdville band was invited to march in the Rose Bowl Parade. Renee works for Birdville Band. Renee was very busy so we had Valerie for the week.

On Friday before the parade on Saturday we took Valerie to Disneyland. We had a great time.

Valerie loved It's a Small World.

But her absolute favorite was the teacups. She is such a brave little girl.

Here she is on New Year's Eve eating at In and Out Burgers.

Then on Saturday night we went to dinner with my brother and his precious family.
