Zoo Time Again
Julia loves the zoo. She should be a zoo guide because she knows where every thing is and which way to turn to get to all her favorite animals, which are the elephant, penguins, monkeys, kimono dragon, crocodile, snakes, and giraffes. She basically likes all animals.
Today Angela and I both took her to the zoo. She had a great time with mommy and grandma.

Aunt Angela, Julia and I took Valerie to the park today. Renee is writing a paper for graduate school. She loved swinging. She giggled and giggled. Valerie is a deep thinker. She takes in her surroundings. So she loved the park and watching all the kids play.
Julia keep wanting Valerie watch her as she played. We think she was showing Valerie the ends and outs of the park.

Hodgepodge Day!!!
Angela, Julia and I had a very fun busy day. We started the day out at the Dallas World Aquarium. This is a really great place for seeing many animals in their habitats. We meet Kristin, Lauren, Rick, Granny, and Aunt Elizabeth there. Julia loved having her everybody with us.
We left there wanting to go shopping and ended up at Grapevine Mills Mall. Julia got to ride the Merry Go Round and the new train they have. We got a lot of Spring shopping done and even ran into Cousin Kanna. Then we ended the day at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens for an Easter Egg Hunt and planted grass in an Easter Basket. Julia keeps asking to garden so she had a blast. It was great fun watching her interact with other children.

All the girls went to the Arboretum in Dallas today. It was absolutely beautiful.
There were rows of beautiful flowers and it was a wonderful sunny day.

Happy 3rd Birthday! Party
Let the "Cupcake" Birthday Party begin. Julia's 3rd birthday party was all about cupcakes. Angela and Jeff did a fabulous job making this day very special for a very special 3 year old.
Mom and Dad are very proud of their little cupcake.
The guest were all served a delicious brunch but not before they put on their cupcake chef hats.
After eating brunch there was a cupcake decorating contest. Cousin Lauren and Kristin shared first place.
Presents were Julia's highlight. She was very excited when she opened up each present. She wanted to stop and play with each one as they were opened.
She did a great job blowing out her pinkalicious cupcakes. Angela worked hard making homemade cupcakes. They were delicious and don't they look beautiful!
I could not close without showing off my two cupcakes. Valerie is 10 months old here. This was her first birthday party.
Those who know Angela, know she is all about the details. This party was full of details. There were cupcakes, cupcake decorations and banner, cupcake table clothes, cupcake plates, cupcake napkins, cupcake lights, cupcake platters, cupcake wrapping paper, mom's cupcake apron, cupcake ribbon and even the party whistles where stamped with a cupcake. The party favors was an apron with a cupcake.

Happy Birthday Day
Julia's 3rd birthday was today, Friday, March 12. Three years ago today was the first day of Spring Break (Monday) and it was the best Spring Break ever. This year it is the Friday before Spring Break starts so I took the day off to spend with her and Angela. Julia was born on a Monday. Monday's child is fair of face. Is that not the sweetest face?
We had a great day. We started out at Jump for Fun in Southlake. Aunt Renee and baby Valerie joined us. They bounced and bounced while Valerie and I watched. Actually they bounced with Valerie some.

Julia loved being the birthday girl. Everyone keep stopping her and asking if it was her birthday. She really started getting into it. She loved the attention.
Then we went to her school, just as her friends were waking up from naps and her class sang Happy Birthday to her and ate Cupcake Cookies on a stick. Again .... loved the attention.
Then that evening we went to Chuck E. Cheese. It was her first time. Her Mom and Dad bought her this silly hat. She would not take it off. She loved it. But this is the child that loves hats and will even sleep in them at naptime.
